LG with Five Pieces of Silver at Musicon-Durham Jazz Festival

Soaring high, pitching perfectly, scatting, this was one of those evenings that gelled…” is what Lance Liddle of Bebop Spoken Here… said of the Louise Gibbs and Five Pieces of Silver performance at the Durham Jazz Festival on 11 November 2011. It was a fabulous night (the band certainly enjoyed themselves) with a discerning and highly appreciative audience right in the heart of the university. The gorgeous stone walls of St Chad’s quad might have been an acoustic disaster without the ear-sharp sound engineering of Martin Allison.
