Louise Gibbs

Featuring songs by Kenny Wheeler, John Taylor, Christine Tobin, Duncan Lamont and some of her own originals, LG will give a recital-workshop to the Music Department at University of Miami for staff and jazz and vocal major students.

Louise Gibbs joins up with a talented trio of young Sams (Leak, Vicary, Gardner) – to make acoustic, left-of-mainstream jazz for the intimate Grove Inn. Reframed standards, some originals and playful interactive music making. £4/3

LG performs with the Yorkshire Jazz Orchestra at the Yorkshire Jazz Awards. Two of her compositions (arranged by Tony Faulkner) will be featured along with music by Faulkner, Dankworth, Renato D’Aiello, Derrick Harris, Andy Schofield – and Duke Ellington.
